I am an LICSW who has been with NEG for 19 years. My first 16 years I worked as a therapist  in several skilled nursing facilities throughout Western Mass and Worcester areas. I took the Program Director position which has been a challenging, but very rewarding change for me. As program directors we manage the relationships between these facilities, and oversee the clinical work our teams are providing for our patients.

What I like most about working for New England Geriatrics is not only the constant support you receive, but the company is family owned and run. No matter how large the company grows, you have the guidance and leadership of management and ownership.

I was very honored to have been nominated anonymously and receive the award for NASW nursing home social worker of the year in 2013.  I was incredibly surprised and humbled by this experience. My NEG team and husband arrived at the ceremony to show their support, which was truly meaningful.

I would encourage any clinician who is looking to make a meaningful change in our elders lives to consider New England Geriatrics. We have the opportunity to provide care to this frail population during a very difficult time in their lives. Our geriatric population deserves the best treatment. New England Geriatrics provides amazing employment opportunities with support, guidance and the autonomy of being independent in the settings.
