Announcing: Saint Anne's Hospital Geriatric Psychiatry Unit At New England Sinai Hospital

For the past twenty years, New England Geriatrics has worked across this great Commonwealth to be able togeriatric psychiatry unit new england sinai strategize and to put together plans of care for the residents that you work with every single day.  I founded New England Geriatrics on the four key principles of Caring, Respecting, Responding, and Understanding.  With these principles in mind and with a commitment to being able to provide the best in geriatric mental healthcare, it was in 2003, that we collaborated to open our first inpatient geriatric psychiatry unit.  As time progressed and the need for inpatient geriatric psychiatry continued, three other collaborations were developed.  Today we are able to offer our partner facilities inpatient geriatric psychiatry services at Nashoba Valley Hospital, Holy Family Hospital at Merrimack Valley, and Baystate Wing Hospital.  It is with great pride and honor that I announce to you our fourth inpatient geriatric psychiatric unit called,  Saint Anne’s Hospital Geriatric Psychiatric Unit at New England Sinai Hospital.   This latest partnership is with Steward Medical Group and Saint Anne’s hospital and will be located on the New England Sinai Hospital campus in Stoughton, MA.

The Geriatric Psychiatry Unit at New England Sinai is a state of the art 15 bed secured unit conveniently located in the South Shore of Massachusetts.  The GPU  is comprised of 15 private rooms that feature televisions in each room to promote the comfort and quality of life of our patients.  There are multiple meeting rooms for families and the rooms look out at the tree line around the New England Sinai campus.  The GPU is conveniently located off of route 95 and 138.

The Geriatric Psychiatry Unit at New England Sinai will be under the Medical Direction of renowned geriatric psychiatrist, Dr.  Marcus Goldman. Dr. Goldman has been specializing in geriatric psychiatry since 1987.   In addition to stellar medical and psychiatric care, the GPU at New England Sinai also offers Social Work services, rehabilitative therapies as well as daily activity programs.

The Geriatric Psychiatry Unit at New England Sinai will open on December 1, 2014, for admissions.  The Open House for the unit is Wednesday, November 19, 2014, from 12-3PM.  We invite you to come and tour the unit.  New England Sinai and Saint Anne’s Hospital have a rich history and stellar reputation for patient care.  We are very honored to now be part of that history.

From Western Massachusetts area:
Take Interstate 90 (Massachusetts Turnpike/Mass Pike) East to Route 128 South. Route 128 South becomes Route 93 North. Take Route 93 North to Exit 2A (Route 138 South, Stoughton). Watch for blue "New England Sinai Hospital" sign 4 miles ahead on Route 138. Turn left on York Street. The hospital is 2/10 mile ahead on left.

From Boston and the North Shore:
Take Route 93 South to Exit 2A (Route 138 South, Stoughton). Watch for blue "New England Sinai Hospital" sign 4 miles ahead on Route 138. Turn left on York Street. The hospital is 2/10 mile ahead on left.
From southeastern Massachusetts and Cape Cod:
Take Route 24 North to Exit 19B (Central Street, Stoughton). Stay on Central Street for 1 ½ miles. Turn right at Route 139 (Pleasant Street). Watch for blue "New England Sinai" sign on right approximately 6/10 mile down on Route 139.  Turn left at Pine Street. Pine Street becomes York Street. The hospital is approximately 1 mile ahead on right.

From Western Boston suburbs:
Take Route 128 South. Route 128 South becomes Route 93 North. Take Route 93 North to Exit 2A (Route 138 South, Stoughton). Watch for blue "New England Sinai Hospital" sign 4 miles ahead on Route 138. Turn left on York Street. The hospital is 2/10 mile ahead on left.
*At various points, Route 128 is also marked Route 95 or Route 93.
